In P5 this week we have started our creative topic of 16th and 17th Century London.

In English we have explored the story of the Great Fire of London using a sensory story, whilst listening to a crackling fire. We enjoyed using the material to mimic the look of the fire and to feel it moving over each of us to imitate how the fire spread from house to house. We explored charred wood using our senses, we were encouraged to feel and smell the different pieces of wood which allowed us to experience the difference between how the wooden houses were before, and after the fire. We then worked on our individual English targets to produce work that demonstrated our understanding of the story.

We are looking forward to learning more about our Creative topic of 16th and 17th Century London next week!
