Physical Education
This week in PE we practiced our dressing skills with developing independence and then undertook a dance lesson. First we followed instructions as we slowly warmed up our bodies. Some of us thought about our hearts and how calm they felt. Next we undertook a freeze dance where we had to follow instructions and copy actions but we heard ‘freeze’ we had to stop. We particularly liked the freestyle part where we made up our own dance moves. Here some of us noticed our hearts beating faster as we moved around. Finally, we did a cool down with lots of stretches and yoga poses. We had to hold the stretch for 15 seconds and the children did some fantastic independent work. We are very excited in Primary 1 as we can now start to get ready to go into the hall to do PE. Well done everybody!
