In the ISC, since lockdown, we have been exploring many of our usual timetabled activities whilst exploring our changing surroundings as Spring has approached! In horticulture we noticed that the school grounds were changing, with daffodils and greenery appearing in different places. We started to prepare ready to grow our own vegetables and plants, working on our physical skills as we filled plant pots, made holes ready for the seeds, planted the seeds and then watered the soil. During our key skills sessions we worked on our motor and mark making skills as we used different art materials to create our own Easter pictures - most of us enjoyed using paint the most! Another popular activity was making Easter crispy nests, with us all working hard to follow instructions from the recipe and communicate our own preferences. The best part was enjoying them afterwards!
